Hi All, I've been messing around with modifying skins, the one thing I can't seem to put my finger on is how to move the menu buttons. Right now they are on the left side but I want to put them to the right. Can you point me in the right direction (no puns intended)?
Peter

Have you tried just setting your token to "Right" justification?
If you have and thats not working you will need to dig into the CSS classes to move it.

I have been all over the portal.ascx and default.css file and can't seem to find it. I did "right" justify and doesn't seem to do anything.
Thanks

there is at free toolbar for firefox that allows you to see all the style sheets applied to your skin. (there are usually at least 4-5)
you can get it here: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/60
Once you have it installed load a page from your server that has the problem then click Tools / Web Developer / Edit CSS
It will display all the CSS styles that apply.
As you make changes to the underlying CSS Sheets they will show immediately in the window. If after deleting all the CSS the menu is still not right then you know it is not the CSS causing the problem.
Are you able to post your zipped skin file? It might make it easier to diagnose.

Don't think I can attatch zip here, When I use the addon toolbar and change the CSS it's only temporary it doesn't actually do anything server side, correct?
Thanks

yes that's correct, only temporary - I created a tutorial on techniques for troubleshooting with the toolbar here:
Troubleshooting DotNetNuke Skins
you can attach zip files to a forum post, it's underneath the text editor window.
Thanks,

I have it installed and open the site in firefox. I tried doing a few simple things (changing font size, changing color) I click apply and nothing seems to happen. Any thoughts?
Thanks

Hello,
I've had a look at the HTML source code of the about us page on the site. The reason you cannot resize, or colour the text is because you have hardcoded the font styling in the text HTML module.
If you look at the source code for the words beginning "Infantry Design partners with companies"
You will see several font tags and span tags for style in the text.
You should not style text in this way, text should be style from the skin.CSS file.
Have a look at these tutorials:
