Is there a way to set up a test environment so that people are not manageing their content directly on the server? I don't want to have to install DNN twice. It is currently set up on an off site server. Users that have edit rights are currently able to edit directly to the server and save what ever they do right there. This poses issues of deleting or overwrighting content and not being able to get it back. NOT GOOD!!! I am needing a solution for this potential desaster. Thanks...

I'm a fan of modules that permit versioning of content, with an approval functions.  People with edit privileges can edit content, but it doesn't go live until an approver approves it.

• Effority Workflow HTML module (free)
• Ventrian News Articles (modest cost)
• Engage Publish (higher cost, but with good reason)

The Effority module makes a great replacement for the Text/HTML module, provided that you aren't using any of the token replacement features.

Engage Publish also includes a Text/HTML replacement for those cases where a full article is not needed.

Effority + Ventrian is a low-cost replacement for Publish, provided that you don't need the full complexity provided by Publish.
