Just wondering if this is possible, I would like to add a module to multiple pages on my website. The idea is having a master version of the module. Whenenver the master version changes I would like to have it changed on all the other pages that contain the module?

Can this be done or is it better to add this directory to the skin?

Yes, it's quite easy to do do that. When you add a module to a page, check the "Add existing module" radio button. Then, the dropdowns will change and you select the page and module (from the page) to be added. When you add, you will add a "reference" to the existing module. There will be only one instance of the module, but it will be displayed on both (or many) pages.

This is similar to the "Display module on all pages" option available in a module's settings.

Wow quick reply, funning just when you post a question you find the solution yourself. I just found the "Display module on all pages" option and it works perfectly for me.
