Setting up all of the copy for my company's products, I have all of the existing copy in our SQL database. In the database its represented as HTML. Obviously in DNN, the Text/HTML module data is represented as CDATA.
Is there any easy way to pull it from HTML and dump it into the Text/HTML module (dont need to go thru the GUI, I can do all database commands if need be)?
Thanks in advance.

The "correct" answer likely depends on the number of entries in your database and the number of modules into which you want to insert data. Identifying which database item goes to which module is the biggest issue, I would think. And, you also have to create the pages and the Text/HTML modules.
It might be easier to write something that dumps your existing data into entities that can be imported into DotNetNuke Text/HTML modules. To do that, export the contents of a sample Text/HTML module to get the structure right. Then, dump your data. As you add modules to pages, you can then import each one.

OK, will look into doing it that way.
I had all of the pages created and all of the Text/HTML modules in place (and named well enough that I know which to import to).
Its not a TON of data, but there is a lot of formatting, etc. The programmer in me says to spend half a day trying to get it to work, to save a day of boring monotonous copy creation

hehe. Thats what I WANTED to say but refrained in case the powers that be are reading
FYI - I was able to get this to work. Its actually pretty simple: the DesktopHTML value for a Text/HTML module is just a Server.HTMLEncode of the actual HTML you want in the module. Just wrote a quick vb.net script to pull the HTML from our current db, HTMLEncode it, then go thru the DNN tab/module structure (luckily I named our DNN tabs the same as our product names in the current DB, so its basically a unique key though not the perfect way to do it) to find where to put it.
Looking good at this point!! (just had to work out a few kinks, like escaping all single quotes during the inserts)
