Hello forum, Im new to DNN I did not create this website but I do have to make changes add pages and so forth. I am having a hard time with the left pane. When I have alot of text in the right pane the left one moves down to the middle of the page and it needs to be at the top ive tried everything and i still cant fix it.  If anyone has an idea of how to fix this i would appresiate your help

Also where it says home and login i would like to add a link that says Bunkers Columbia next to home, cant seem to figure that out either.

This are all issues related to your skin. So, I would first recommend that you start by reviewing tutorials related to skinning DotNetNuke of our Tutorials page.

As for adding the link, you will need to go into your skin file and insert the link between the USER and LOGIN skin objects. This is either an HTML or an aspx file, depending on how your skin is defined. Just open up the file, and insert the appropriate HTML link tags and text.

If you are doing this on an existing system, I would recommend that you take a copy of the installable skin package and make the changes there. Rename, and install as a different skin. Then, you can install the modified skin and apply it to a single hidden page to test it (make the page visible to admins only so that you can see it.). When you have things working as you like, apply the modified skin to the entire site.

To keep the panes from growing "too" wide, you might want to apply a maximum-width style to the central pane. You would do this in the skin.css file.

I only have access to the web based content management and cannot get ftp access. Is there no other way to fix the issue i am having with the panes?

You will need to get a copy of your skin.  You can make modifications to the skin, and upload them by re-installing the skin.
