Hi All,
I want to know what versions of .Net framework,Visual Studio, Sql Server are needed to install DNN 2.0.4 and DNN 2.1.2.

I am using .Net framework 2.0,VS 2003 and Sql Server 2005. But am getting error.

Please help me and let me know if i am using proper versions of the above mentioned things.

I believe that would be .Net 1.x.

But ... is there a particular reason that you want to install this version? It is many years out of date. The current Version 4.9.2 requires .Net 2.5 or higher.

I would recommend that you try installing the current version.

Thanks jncraig. But my work requires me to install either DNN 2.0.4 or 2.1.2.

Take a look at our tutorials on installation of DotNetNuke.  I imagine that you can adapt them for Version 2.x.

SQL Server 2000 should work fine.  Try Visual Studio 2005.  You'll definitely want .NET 1.x.

But ... you should start a campaign with your supervisor to reconsider building a web application that was released in June 2004.  It is quite obsolete.  If your company is going to spend money building a website, they should spend the resources to use modern software.  You might want to do a bit of education.

Hi there, This article could be usefull, http://weblogs.asp.net/cumpsd/archi...64019.aspx I would suggest using VS2003, SQL Server 2000/2005 and agree with jncraig that you should use .Net 1.1. Remember to check you site when it is created, if you have both .Net 1.1 and .Net 2.0 installed, IIS might use .Net 2.0 as default if you did not change that. And using VS2005 could give som issues in your web.config, because it might add .Net 2.0 ref. to assembly´s. Regards, Larry
