I went to go work on my dnn site tonight and the menu isnt showing but the heading is.  Anyway for me to reset DNN so I see the correct menu?

Or reset something so I can continue to work on my site as a super user and not lose what i already have done?

If you can login as host, go to Host Settings and click the "Restart Application" link. You might, though, need to restart the IIS process ... or the server.

Ar you using a custom skin? 

You can try to go to http://yoursite.com//Host/Host Settings.aspx.  If you use a custom skin, try resetting to a standard one.

Which version of DotNetNuke are you using?

I found out when i installed the ventrian venture skin and added the skin objects the problems persisted if i went back to the default skin.

I wrote to the author to see how to reverse it if anyone else knows let me know.

Is the default skin a DotNetNuke skin?

Can you easily restart your server?  If not, can you restart IIS?

Can you login as host as I suggested?  If you can, you should be able to get to Site Settings via the control panel.  Can you login and see the control panel?

I still dont think your following me. I am trying to basically reset the default skin and which it did but the solpartmenu host dropdown does not work.

Admin does however. I am a superuser as well so its not permissions.

I installed a venture skin that used skin objects. So when i went to revert back to default in settings the host menu wont show up.

Any ideas how to reset the menu so it works?


I tried applying the default skin and nothing.

never mind i am reinstalling it... wish i knew why tho
