I'll admit I'm less than a novice when it comes to skinning and such but I have searched the skinning tool kit, etc but cannot find out how to center the logo.

I know how to replace the default but can't find what to modify to have it centered.

Also, if I'm using this skin on more than one portal of the same installation will this center the logo on all of the portals?  Not sure if I want that but I can always use different skins if needed.

If you look at the html version of the skin, you'll see that the logo is defined like this (spaces added so that I can post this):


            < div class="logo_top">
                < div class="logo_top_left">
                    < div class="logo_top_right">
                        < div class="logo_top_bg">
                        < /div>

                < /div>
                < div class="logo_left">
                    < div class="logo_right">
                        < div class="logo_pad">
                            [LOGO]
                        < /div>
                    < /div>
                < /div>
            < /div>


The outer wrapping of the the [LOGO] skin object is a div with class "logo_top."

All of the styling is in the skin.css file.  If you look there, you'll see that the logo_top class is not defined.  If you add:

              .logo_top{ text-align:center; }

Then the logo will be centered on the screen.

If you put this file in your portal's portal.css file, it will apply only to your portal.  If you put it in the skin.css file, it will apply to all instances.

By the way, you can edit portal.css from the Site Settings page. The "stylesheet editor" is at the bottom of the page.

I've been using DNN for about 2 days now and it's potential is mindblowing...

I'm using DNN5.4.2

I have also been trying to center my logo.

 

I copied the default MinimalExtropy skin and am using that.

I have added

.logo_top{ text-align:center; }

to BOTH the skin.css and portal .css but the logo is still in the left hand side


any ideas please

Ddd the text-align attribute to the logo_left class in skin.css.  Remove from portal.css.

Make .logo_left read this way:
