First off, hello to a fellow biker! - I too am bike crazy and have a Kawasaki ZX6R!
To migrate your members should be straight forward. - If you copy the data from your current asp installation to the Users table in your DNN installation everything should work ok with no problems. - You can test this in a localhost installation - Make sure the passwords and full details are working correctly (try logging in as a user that you have transferred in your localhost installation)
Adding an icon to a Container Title Bar:
Go to the Modules drop down menu, select Settings.
Scroll Down
Page Settings / Basic Settings
Icon: Here you can select an icon / upload an icon
Skinning isn't too complicated once you get to grips with the basics - as it happens I am currently completing a series of videos on skins, containers etc. - so if you can wait a couple of days I will be releasing them shortly. (Just in the middle of editing them). Which should help you out.
Transferring localhost install to live website:
For you this will be slightly more complicated as you will need to transfer across your users. I have posted information on this previously here which lists how to create a template. - This method will not transfer across your users, but it's worth reading.

The other method you can use is to create a backup of your localhost database and then install it to your live site along with all of your localhost installation files.
- Before doing this you will need to edit the Portal Alias on your localhost installation and add your website URL.
There are details regarding Portal Templates and Aliases in this tutorial (video 2):

Hope this provides some starting points for you,
