Hi there. Looking for help but not sure if I should ask this here or in the Module Section.

In a Text/ Html module I have a number of images from which I link to other pages in the site. When I view this page the images are surrounded by a blue border. Once I have clicked on them the border is purple.... i.e showing they have been visited.

How do I stop the Link colours from appearing. I know how to do this in HTML and CSS normally, but how do I do I do it in a Text/ Html module?

To do this across the site, you'll need to define styles for links in your skin.css file. If they aren't defined there, you get the styles defined in default.css. Put your definitions in skin.css because default.css is used in every portal in your installation.

If you want to apply special styles to a particular module, including a Text/HTML module, then you can use a couple of techniques.

1. Use Web Developer's Toolbar or look at the page source to identify the ID that DotNetNuke assigns to that module instance. It will be something like #dnn_ctr419. Use this ID to add specific styles for links in skin.css.

2. Use the Header and Footer fields in the Module Settings page to wrap the module in a pair of div tags, and specify an ID or class to use for styling the div. Add appropriate styles in skin.css.

3. You can also put a div inside of the text/HTML module by viewing the contents in Source mode. You can add an ID, class, or insert styles directly.

I would recommend against using #3. Put the styling references where they belong, and don't mix them up with the content.

By the way, I recommend that you start using Effority's Workflow Text/HTML module in place of Text/HTML. The only exception is if you HAVE to use the token replacement that comes with Text/HTML. But, I expect that difference to be rectified in the coming weeks or months.
