Have you correctly specified the details for the SQL Server?

One way to check is to use MSSQL Server Management Studio and see if you can connect to the database server. Then, you'll know the right credentials needed for this part of the installation. Once you pass that test, the Install Wizard will configure the database connection strings correctly in your web.config.

You also need to create an empty database before this step, as the Wizard needs to know its name.

Sorry to have to repost here but I am have this exact issue on the following config;

Windows 7 32bit
SQL Server Express 8 R2.

I have followed Lee's videos to the word and I still have the exact issue as above;

Connection Error(s):
Index #: 0
Source: .Net SqlClient Data Provider
Class: 14
Number: 15372

Anyones help on this would be helpful.

Go to Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Services -> right click on SQL Server (SQLEXPRESS) service then Properties -> Then Goto Logon tab -> Select the Local System Account option ->Apply->OK This should solve the problem.
