This is my colleague's query, so allow me to elucidate.  You can see the site at www.finetech-medical.co.uk. 

If you look at the homepage in IE and in Firefox, the gap between the breadcrumb trail and the page heading (H1) is quite different, with the gap larger in Firefox.

Any ideas?

going through your CSS code it is this that is causing the spacing:

.GrayTitleTitle {
    font-family:  Arial, Verdana,Tahoma, sans-serif;
    font-size: 14pt;
    font-weight: bold;
    color: #666666;
    text-align:left;
    text-decoration:none;
    white-space:nowrap;
    padding-top: 0px;
    padding-right: 3px;
    padding-bottom: 0px;
    padding-left: 1px;
    white-space:nowrap;
}

If you remove it in FF it returns to the correct place, so you may want to re-think how you have implemented it. This tutorial may help:
