OK, Ive fooled with this for a LONG time

I am having an issue with the css of my main page.  I am trying to change the look of the css for the links.

when you load the page, the links will actually display the correct colors according to the "skin" css in that module however as it loads it is being overwritten at the very last part of the load - if you hit refresh it is evident.  On other pages which are using the same skin, the links display correctly.

I have some tweaking to do with the actuall css in a few areas of that skin but why it is modifying just that page has me stumped. At this point Im not sure if it is actually a setting I missed or in the actual css..... ????

I could not find anything for sure either.  I viewed all the CSS via firefox's tools with no luck.  However, I did do a "view generated source" in firefox and found several style settings that are constantly being repeated, and are perhaps being picked up?  The colors in these style settings appear to be the colors that you are experiencing for the links on your home page, both the main color and the hover color.


I am fairly new to DNN myself, so I am not sure where those styles are coming from unless they are in the module's text editors themselves (although I find that hard to believe).  I do not see them in skin.css, default.css, portal.css. container.css or module.css.  Sorry I could not be more help, but hopefully this will help direct you to the right place!.

PS - if you do figure this out, please post it as I am now very interested.

You may be able to narrow down the source of the problem using Web Developers' Toolbar. Use the "Edit CSS" function. Start by, one at a time, completely erasing one of the css files. If erasing one causes the problem to go away, then you'll know which file contains the styles that need to be fixed.

Normally you do the "fixing" in your skin.css file.

Thanks Joe - it was strange - I finally found the problem - in the announcments module on that page there was some corrupt code in the "item template"  which changed the default link and hover codes. In the Developers toolbar it just showed up as "null"  quite a pain in the $#%%  - LOL
