I have two domain name pointing to the same site eg  mydomain.com  and mydomain.tv  . When creating and new Page and link to a url in my portal (under Admin > Pages) instead of enter a hardcoded link url  eg http://www.mydomain.com/link.aspx , I tried replace it with  [portal:url]/link.aspx  but dos not work .

Can anyone give me some tips how to get arround this  ? thanks

I don't quite follow what you mean, are you creating a new page and trying to create a URL link from the page rather than a standard page - perhaps you could try explaining in more detail? Thanks,

Hi Lee, Yes I am trying to link the page to a URL in my site eg http://www.mydomain.com/link.aspx but then the problem is if someone browsing in http://www.mydomain.tv then they would need to login again. If i created a link in the FCK editor then it will work if i just removed the domain reference for the link .../link.aspx .

I'm still not sure I follow, why does your link have /link.aspx? - Don't DNN sites normally end in default.aspx?

If you are creating a link to a page can't you just use the version without the link.aspx?

I realy have the same problem i create module with multiple page and it work fine with then main page but when i click to

i got the e3lansearch control module but the rest module in the page get disappear except the dnn navigation , dnn search , dnn log

where the html module and the rest get disapppear please any one can help me with this

I have been dealing with the dynamic links issue for some time. My application is a bit different that poster-glenwin Here is what I was able to get to work.

Setup:

I have content on my host portal abc.com that is linked to by my other (123.com, 456.net, etc.) portals. The links to this content are within the text/html module as well as page settings for link/URL's.

Goal:

To have the content appear as if it's coming from other portals (123.com) but still work dynamically if another portal is added.

Solution:

~default.aspx?tabname=nameofthetab&pageid=pageidyouarelinkingto
