I'm having a site in Dot Net Nuke. The site has been working properly from the last 5 months but a few days ago when I click on Admin->File Manager it is showing the following error;

Sorry but I couldn't understand what restart you are talking about?

On the Host Settings page, there is a link to "Restart The Application" which restarts your web site. There is also a link to clear the cache under the Performance Settings section. I always do these first.

You should also look in the site's Event Log for a more detailed error message.

You can also restart IIS.

As a last resort, you can reboot the server that runs your site. You might also check to see that the database server is operating correctly.

I had a similar problem in an earlier version of DotNetNuke, I fixed it by deleting all of the content from the Files table, returning back to the FileManager and selecting Synchronize recursive.

BEFORE attempting this I would suggest you download your live website, install it on a localhost installation and run the test on a local installation. BACKUP everything.

As a first test however, I would try upgrading on a localhost installation copy and see if the upgrade fixes the problem.
