I would like to run multiple client portals under one instal of DDN to take advantage of administrating them under one super user account. Is there a way to fully restore the database of one portal to a previous state without rolling back all the other portals (seperate clients).  Possibly a SQL stored procedure or piece of software that can do this. We will be running DDN on our server so I would have full access to MsSQL. Also I have not been able to find much information on the server-side of DDN, questions like above and more. Anyone recomend a resource for Network Admins? Thanks

I don't know if this will be possible as all of the tables for the portals are linked together, for instance all of the pages for the portals are stored in the same table. Eg. check out the Tabs table in your installation.

I maintain several clients sites and I keep them all as completely separate installations. - But, I install them very quickly  as I pre-configure the installation, so basically I upload it, install and it's already setup with the config I require.

If all your clients are on one installation, what happens if they accidentally screw up the site and bring everyones website down? It's unlikely but it could happen. - Something to think about anyway.

- There are installations that have masses of portals such as at buildportal.com who seem to manage ok, but I don't know how they go about keeping a backup of their site.

Has anyone found any good ways of backing up multiple portal DNN sites without creating a single .bak file?
