Per-user customization

Hi, I am really new to DotNetNuke, did not start any development yet, still in the research stage. I am redesigning our company's intranet, and was hoping to use DNN. There is a functionality that we would like to have in the new system, but I couldn't find anywhere if DotNetNuke framework or a plugin can provide it. We would like to let our users customize their homepage - decide which modules they want to see there and which ones can be removed, minimize/maximize and move the modules around the page. Is there a way to "remember" these user preferences between logins? So that the next time a user logs in, he could see the rearranged page? I guess I could implement this functionality myself, but was hoping it was already built in. Thank you! Julia

If you want to give each user a "home page" that can be customized to some extent by the user, look at ActiveProfile (I think that's the name now) from ActiveModules.com. That gives a customizable page, and a limited set of modules that the user can customize.
