   I am building a website that the registered users can download files from my website. I need to track who, what, and when they downloaded the file.

 

The issue is that they can click the link but then claim they canceled the download. I am not able to use an ecommerce store because the will need to be build on a monthly bases for the files downloaded.

I was thinking that when they click the download link pop-up a window with the disclosure and a link to send an email to the users email address that will have the link to download the file.

Can you help in this matter and point me in the right direction?

not sure what the best solution is for this, but it could be worth having a look at the portal store which works in a similar way to the store on Snowcovered.

It may be possible to contact the original developer for portal store and ask them to setup monthly billing for you,
