I want to display the main menu links ( Level 1) horizontally like
HOME SERVICES PRODUCTS
If SERVICES is clicked, I want to display the Submenu for Services only in the left pane. Like
HOME SERVICES PRODUCTS
SERVICE 1
SERVICE 2
SERVICE 3
If Products is clicked, it should display the following. The Services Submenu should not be displayed at all.
HOME SERVICES PRODUCTS
PRODUCT 1
PRODUCT 2
PRODUCT 3
How can I achieve this kind of dynamic submenus in DNN.
Please advice.
Thanks,
Raj

Try using the Snapsis Nav menue for this. I find it much easier to use. And, you'll find a special offer for it in the Special Bonuses section of our forums.

Yes snapsis menu is easier to setup for this. There is a tutorial on how to do this with HouseMenu however, but it is much more involved. The tutorial outlines how to do this with two horizontal menus, but the same principles apply, one menu will be horizontal, the other vertical.

Thanks for the replies. I am checking out the house menu tutorial.
There is a further complication in this. The vertical side menu needs to be coloured - each submenu will have a different colour - from a swatch of 7 colours.
You can see the mock at http://www.brandrich.net/prob2.gif
Please suggest if it is possible to combine CSS or code this in the menu to get this effect. The order of the 7 colours is fixed - the first submenu item will be pink and so on...
Thanks,
Raj

Yes, doing this shouldn't be a problem.
The reason that I suggested that you use the Snapsis menu is because it is entirely css, meaning that you can accomplish everything with css. If you look at the user manual and the samples, you probably can figure out most of what you need to do. If you need a pointer, look at how you would attach a separate background image to the menu items, and replace that with different colors.

Another option might be the menu available at
http://www.dnn360.net/Default.aspx.
I haven't used this menu, but this URL points to a page that includes a horizontal menu with a different color applied to each tab. I'd guess that it's easy to do this in a vertical version of the menu, too.
