Some days ago i post here a doubt about a problem that i was having with the search, the problem was that always that i tryed do a search, it doesnt come back any results, and show me again the home page, i already solve this problem, i saw that i dont know why i didnt have a search results page.. creating one i fixed that problem.. that problem that i have now, and also a doubt, i see that the search results show the title of the containers, and how i have a lot of containers that i dont use the title, it shows "text/html", well, the doubt is if i can change this initial configuration, maybe in the code of the modual, to show or text that "text/html"? if i can where can i change that?

About the problem, is that i already change all the titles of the containers, the ones that was with "text/html", but i dont know why the webiste didnt re-index the content again, and when i search, the search results keep showing "text/html" in the containers that i already change to other names..
Even i re-indexing the content in the host/search admin page.. even waiting for the 30 minuts.. what i need to do to "refresh" this search results?

It maybe possible that the search results are stored in cache,  so you could try going to the host menu / host settings and try the clear cache link, or you could also try the restart application link.

Hello, i tryed in both ways that you sad, but keeps showing "text/html" in the titles of the moduals that i already changed, i cheked the schedule history and see that in the times that i re-index the content, it was re-index..
Where can i clear the schedule history? Maybe if i clean and re-index again works.. but i didnt find any option where i can clean..

Ok, I've spent a while Experimenting with this now, and I had the same issue with the Text / HTML module titles remaining in the search results even though you have changed the title, and the search index has re-indexed.

This is nothing to do with the cache as I previously suggested.

Looking at the search module tables in DotNetNuke, the data of the module titles was not been updated, so in order to clean out the search tables I did some experimenting with SQL in SQL server management studio express. - the good news is that all you have to do is the following:

 ** Backup your database **
go to host menu / SQL
in the text box enter:

DELETE SearchItemWordPosition
DELETE SearchWord
DELETE SearchItemWord
DELETE SearchItem

(Make sure the capitalization of the text above matches exactly)

Click on the execute link


while I was experimenting with this, I changed the time that the search engine scheduled a re-index to every two minutes instead of every 30 minutes - this is fine on a small test site, so you may also be able to do this to speed up the indexing process, of course once you have all the content reindexed set the schedule back to every 30 minutes.
