Hi,
I have added some html into a text/html module which captures a user name and password and then is supposed to send them directly to the other site and pass the values to login. The issue is that it wants to use the details to log into my site.

The code is



Is there anyway to stop this and send the values to the corect url?

Hello,

The problem is that you have form tags in the code + there are already form tags used in the page of your DNN installation, so you can't have form tags within form tags.

You will need to use a module to capture the data + send it to a URL. - Could be worth looking at DataSprings Dynamic Forms module.

After much debate and searching google to find a solution using the text/html module I have given up. The problem is I dont want to spend $200 to fix this simple issue. Do you know of anything cheaper which might do the same thing.

Two other modules that might be of interest are the UDT module and r2i's OWS (Open Web Studio).  UDT is a core module and OWS can be downloaded and used for free.

I haven't used either of these for your intended application, but they would seem to fit.  UDT is soon to be renamed "Forms and Lists Module."

If you google "dotnetnuke forms module" you will find other alternatives.

While I agree with you that free is nice, you can easily spend more that $200 just looking for a solution to some problems.  If your website is related to a business venture, you'll often save yourself money by spending a little.

I have found a way that cost me nothing which I should have thought of in the first place. I used an iframe to link to a standard .html page that had the form code in. As long as I open this form in a new window it works fine. Thanks for you help with this.
