In this tutorial we demonstrate how to use DataSprings Opt In Email Newsletter Module.

The DataSprings Opt In Email module has a lot of the functionality you would expect from signing up to a third party Email Service Provider (ESP). This module in some cases offers more functions (for link tracking) than you would normally receive from a thrid party ESP, including options that allow you to:
  • Setup as many opt in email lists as you require
  • Verify the users email address after opting in
  • Allow users to manage their opt in settings
  • Manage users and lists
  • Import users to the opt in lists via CSV, Excel, SQL and DotNetNuke Security Roles
  • Custom tokens within the emails – for instance you can specify a users name etc.
  • Reporting statistics and Exporting to Excel
  • Email tracking – who has read the email
  • Link tracking – who has clicked on a link in the email, you can even send an email out if a user clicks on a link, for instance if a user clicks on a link, it could then send them an email stating, we noticed that you are interested in product X, here is some further information you may be interested in. Alternatively you could set it up to email the administrators of the website that this user is interested in product X, give them a call to followup.
