HI,
Is there a way to change the go-button from the linksmodule into an image? See the attachmentsfor further explanation.
Thanks and kind regards, Jeannine |

Yes. But that doesn't look like the links module in your image. |

Hi Joe,
The first image with the go-text is a link module. The second is not, but the only thing I want is not showing a go-text but an arow-image.

Aha, I'm not used to seeing Links configured as a dropdown list.
I thought that the answer would have been to edit a string in the Language Editor. But, that text doesn't seem to be localizable.
You should be able to change the text to whatever you want, including an image, with a small javascript. Use the Web Developers Toolbar to identify the link.

Hi Joe,
Can you help me further? In the html I see:
a id="dnn_ctr401_Links_cmdGo" title="Go" class="CommandButton" href='javascript:WebForm_DoPostBackWithOptions(new WebForm_PostBackOptions("dnn$ctr401$Links$cmdGo", "", true, "", "", false, true))'>Go
In the links.ascx file I see the code:
asp:LinkButton ID="cmdGo" runat="server" CssClass="CommandButton" resourcekey="cmdGo"> Again, I don't know how and if I need to change this code.
I hope you can help me.
Thanks and kind regards, Jeannine |

You can put some javascript like this in the footer of your links module (remove the spaces that I included in this message). You can replace the innerHTML with anything you like. You can put an img tag that points appropriately to your image. You canalso change textDecoration if you don't want an underline(that's the javascript name). See http://www.comptechdoc.org/independ...style.html for more. < script type="text/javascript" > { document.getElementById('dnn_ctr401_Links_cmdGo').innerHTML=' >>'; document.getElementById('dnn_ctr401_Links_cmdGo').style.textDecoration='none'; } < /script > Here, "Go" is replaced with ">>" set to bold without the underline. |

Hi Joe, Still don't know in which file I can add this code. I don't know much about javascripting. Maybe you can explain to me where the text 'Go' is coming from. Kind regards, Jeannine |

That text seems to be built into the Links module. I couldn't find a localizable text string to replace with the language editor.
That bit of code should be placed in the Footer setting for the Links module on your page.
Open Module Settings for the links module. Open Advanced Settings and paste that code into the Footer setting. Be sure to remove all of the blanks after < in the code.

Did you do the arrows with an image, or with characters?

Was I right in assuming that this just needed and img tag in the innerHTML?
