I havent watched the store videos (yet - but I will!) and Im interested in building a site with a store.

Its going to be quite a simple online store, probably less than 100 products with a fairly low throughput, but I would like the ability to pay by worldpay (or any payment method that isn't paypal) as I've had bad experiences with paypal.

Id also like the ability to pay for non-tangible items - e.g. the website is an online canoe/kayak site that sells equipment but also allows booking of day-trips. So in the long term I'd like the ability to extend the store item to allow booking of day-trips and link in to a calender.

Of those of you who have experience with the built in store module for DNN, how good is it? Is it really a version 0.1 or version 1.0?!

Thank you,

AndyB1979

Hello,

Well, the store module works, and it is free. However one of the key elements that you should think about is how easy is it for a user to go through the checkout process. The store module could do with a little refining, so I would probably only use it if you have a very tight budget or if you are just setting up a test website in a test niche to see if you can make any sales.

I would recommend that you look at the store modules that we reviewed, and have a look around Snowcovered for any other store modules and download all of the free trials, it will give you the best idea of whether or not the modules will cover your needs.

Thanks,
