Hi
We have just lunched a new company website - English and Chinese - using the DNN Platform and almost everybody are happy. But on the chinese part we have a Flash (swf) file in top of the content area and it blocks the view of the drop down menu. See attached screendump. How do I correct this - I need the opportunity to use Flash in the top of my document
Best Regards
Jean

Jean,
Start by adding a z-index to the menu (to move it "up") and one to the module that holds the flash file (to move it "down"). An example of a site doing this is at ainq.com. You can take a look at the source for this site's home page to see how it was done.

You will also find that this is only with some browsers like FireFox. We have found that the same thing happens with our
Video Module using Silverlight 3.0.
For now Firefox lists it as a known issue that they say the will fix.

my css file doesn't have any code for the flash in it..
just on the index page. maybe that's my problem. I just understood that i needed to add this to my page. //< param name="wmode" value="transparent" >
THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP AND TIME!!!
The forum won't let me upload my index.html page or my style.css file. both are on the root directory tho.

I'm not sure what you mean regarding the index.html file.

You can attach your files by zipping them up first and then attaching the zip file.
Is this site a DotNetNuke site or a HTML site?

I guess its a HTML site...
attached is my home page and a css file that has nothing on it about the flash or the nav system...
but here it is anyways.
I'll take any kind of help.
I'm rolling out the site for the customer on Monday, so I'm trying to figure out how to get this fixed.
Please and thank you.
I've now got two pages this is going to affect...
should I just try to re-code the nav?
much thanks!!
