Hello Lee and Joe,

My first question deals with templates.  I noticed in dotnetnuke apparently you can create a template page that other pages can be run off from.  This is what I actually need but right now all I have for my template page choices is default and none specified within the template folder.

Do you guys know how I could create a template that I could base other pages off of in DNN.

My second question is concerning modules.  I am not sure how but some how along the lines my DNN environment started showiing containers by default.  This means any time I add any module I get the grayish brownish container showing up automatically.  The only way I can get rid of it is by going into the module settings and unclicking the tick in the check box entitled show containers.  This occurs for every module I add.

I am not sure how my dotnetnuke got set to show the container by default as I know it didn't use to.  Do you know what setting causes this so I can change it back to not showing hte container unless I specifically specify to.

Thanks,

Bo

Hi Bo

check back to issue 24 for info about page templates.

about your other issue with modules login as admin or host, in menu Admin, Site Settings, Appearance you have the option there for portal skin & container these are the options site wide when you create a new page. once you create a page you can then click page functions, settings to change the pages skin/container. then module by settings in the drop down

Good Luck

Rather than not showing a container, I've taken to using one of Lee's "transparent container with no title." The name of the container is close to that. I think that Lee includes this container in most of the free skins. Find the container and add it to your site.

You can make that your default container for the installation, for a specific portal, etc.
