Yes, that's one of the main features of DotNetNuke.

To create a new site, go to the Portals entry on the Hosts menu dropdown.

When you create a new website, you will see the URL for the site.  You can also use the PortalAlias feature to give it a different URL.  You will also need to configure DNS to point the external domain name at the DotNetNuke installation.  DotNetNuke will handle the redirection of the requests to the correct website.

Also, I'd recommend that you view the tutorials here that are relevant.  Some of them are:

Thanks for your reply.

Actually we followed a approach like created different portal like portal1 and portal2 Its portalalias name is locahost/portal1 and localhost/portal2.

create 2 virtual directory in IIS with the name Portal1 and Portal2.Both the virtual directory point to the same DNN installation.

In browser i can use like this, http://localhost/portal1/default.aspx and

http://localhost/portal2/default.aspx. we can acccess this portal by using this link and able to login.

Could you please tell me the above mentioned approach is correct or not?

Please do the needfula asap.

As you mentioned in your reply,

You will also need to configure DNS to point the external domain name at the DotNetNuke installation.  DotNetNuke will handle the redirection of the requests to the correct website.

I cant get what you have mentioned.can u please clear about that?

You can do that approach, if it is a localhost installation, you may find it quicker to create child portals and then you do not need to configure IIS for every single portal, the URLs would then be:

http://localhost/dnn_install_name/child_portal_name

For the DNS, this is referring to setting up multiple portals on a live website and the configuration of this is dependant on your hosting provider and your hosting package.

if you set up child portals you will not have to setup any further configuration
if you are using unique domain names with parent portals you'll need to point all of the domain names to the same DotNetNuke installation files
