I recently attempted to do clean installs to a Vista  Business Machine and a Windows 2008 server box.  I followed the ISS - 7 configuration instructions in the "Installing to Vista" tutorials. The DB is on SQL Server 2005. The The DNN Version was 4.8.4. The install dialog runs to to the point where the "Go to Site link appears. The Database is populated. However, IE hangs without rendering any pages.

The same behavior happens if DNN 4.7.0 is used.

DNN 4.8.4 installs fine on XP

Does anyone know the solution?

Windows Server 2008 could be the problem. I'd recommend that you check over on the DotNetNuke site to see if this is supported in the current release.
