Hi Lee,

Do you have any information on how to design a 'Tab Style Menu'?

I have seen a few DNN sites with very nice looking tab menus and I have no idea on how to create them.

I've only found one topic in the forum relating to Tab Menu but that doesn't answer my question.

I have just gotten back into designing my new website after concentrating all my efforts on building my business. Now itis time for me to go through all of your tutorials to get up to speed. The turtorials have been invaluable thus far.

I have found a site http://www.snapsis.com/tabid/589/ProductID/13/List/1/DotNetNuke-CSS-SEO-Menu.aspx that has a CSS Navigation Menu for DNN.

Andrew,

The Snapsis Nav Menu is one that does tabs quite nicely. If I recall correctly, there is a sample tab skin that comes with the menu package.

And, if you'll look at the Special Offers forum here, you see an offer for a discount on purchasing it.

Thanks for the reply.

I purchased the menu from Snapsis and read the documentation and looked at the sample files.

The process is just outside my current comfort zone. The sample files that come with the menu only show the .ascx files. I have had nothing to do with these files and do not understand them.

I was hoping to be able to do 'WYSIWYG' with the Snapsis menu. Follwoing on from Lee's tutorials I can't see how that is possible.

Andrew,

If you are able to follow the tutorials on creating a skin, then this could become part of your comfort zone.

If you remember that the ascx files follow from the htm file, then I would recommend that you compare the ascx files that get created when you upload and use a skin file. If you are creating your own files, then compare those. If not, look into the skins that come with DotNetNuke.

I'm sure that you can see the relationships quite quickly. With some study and experimentation, you ought to be able to figure this out.

Why not make a copy of the DNN-Blue skin and try replacing the menu there with Snapsis? Then you can move forward.
