Hi

I have followed the tutorial from Lee on how to customise your registration page.  I have added a terms and conditions check box, and amended the profile.ascx.resx file on my web space to reflect this.

However when I go back to my site, the text still appears unformatted and the help/required messages I have added do not show up.

Lee gives the file path as

\admin\Users\App_LocalResources\Profile.ascx.resx

However, with my hosting provider, the path to the file is

X:\Clients\rrrrrrrr\rrrrrrrr.com\public_html\admin\Users\App_LocalResources\Profile.ascx.resx

(I have replaced the sensitive data!)  Would this cause the problem, or what else could it be?

Cheers

Dan

Hi Dan,

Have you managed to find a solution to this problem yet?  I don't think it's related to the path of your hosting provider.

Thanks,

Hi Lee

Yes I did, sorry was going to update the post!...

Basically it seems the latest versions of DNN has extra code within the profile.ascx file, xml markers etc, all I did was copy the text from your tutorial on this site and used that (without extra code at the end of the lines) and it works.

Let me know if you want me to post some example code up to highlight it.

Hi Dan,

Yes if you could post some example code to highlight it that it would be great, I'm sure the other readers would find it useful.

Thanks,
