Hello

I have watched several of your video tutorials and I am a little confused.
When I watch your videos it seems that all is done locally, is it so? or have I misunderstood all of this?
I have done the migration from localhost to my host provider, and now I want to know how my members automatically can edit the website content.

I am trying to create a sportwebsite were I want several of members to be able to edit their clubpages, whenever they want and from witch ever city, country of place they want.

How do I provide this availability? or do I need to do the migration process everytime?

I need to create a website that is updated at once by the communities members.

Availability is the KEYword I am looking for.

best regards
Alex

You might find that the Smart-Thinker UserProfile and UserGroup modules provide the kind of functionality that you need. They are set up to allow "regular" site uses to create profiles and groups, edit and modify them.

Ok thank you for you answer.

So User Group modules provide what I need, specially the updating bit then?
It´s very important that they should be able to update their content for their clubpage.

have I understood you correctly?

many thanks

The Smart-Thinker site has all of the details as to how the modules work, and there is also a demo site. I would suggest that you check them both to make sure that these modules fit your requirement. I think that there also is a trial version that you can download and test.

Hello,

The tutorials are created on a local installation, but it works in exactly the same way if you do it on a live website. So, if you wish to edit the pages of your website, you can do this by logging in to your live website. Because the site is live, availability for editing the pages will be 24 hours. As Joe says, the SmartThinker modules sound like the best fit for your requirements.

Thanks,

Hello,

As soon as you make an edit and click on update, it will be published instantly, it does not matter whether DotNetNuke is installed locally or to a live website.

By 24 hours I meant that you have access to your live DotNetNuke website 24 hours a day and so your users can update content whenever they like, wherever they are in the world.

glad the site is useful, happy nuking!
