Hi,

I have a very serious problem. In the module settings, anything that requires you to click to open up settings e.g. Page Settings doesn't work. What happens is that it opens up, but then the page is continuing to load and once finishes collapses it again. So you get to see it for a few moments before it dissapears.

Obviously this is quite a critical issue. It only though seems to affect certain computers. I was wondering if it was a McAffee problem, but surely lots of people are using McAfee in which case I would have expected there to have been other people experiencing this issue.

The fact that I can't seem to find anything about the problem elsewhere is really strange - posting on the DNN forums has only found one other person who has the same problem who also can't find a solution.

So if anyone has come across this and can help resolve this, please let me know and I will be very grateful. My only way of updating my site atm is using a very old laptop which is on its last legs and annoying to use.

Thanks
Liz

If you've enable AJAX in the Host Settings, you might want to disable it and see if that is the problem.

You didn't say which browser you were using. Does this happen in both IE and Firefox, or only one?

You have hit the nail on the head. I was using IE 7, just tried it in FF and it works fine. Must be an IE 7 problem, The old computer is running IE 6 hence why it works. Still surpirsed that more people haven't had the problem, I can't believe everyone is using FF. I don't like using FF as it is very chunky, ie is prettier to use (guess that is a bit girly but hey!!!). I only use FF when I need any of the developer addons, e,g when wrestling with stylesheets.

I haven't seen that problem with IE, but I'm always finding differences. Using an XHTML skin is usually better than not.

The new Firefox is less "chunky" that earlier versions ... so they tell me.

This appears to be happening because of McAfee products. I'm testing it now.
