Has anyone used the SEO menu from DNNSEO?  I originally started out with the House Menu, then came across the seomenu.  I have tried the SEOMENU in a new skin, but found that the page loads miserably slow.  My css skin code is pretty clean CSS, with just a few minor errors.

The House menu, on the other hand, loaded up fast.  It may have been a mistake to switch.

Anyway, I switched back to the Solpart Menu to see what happened, and the skin loaded right up, even though the errors shot through the roof when I tried to validate it as xhtml 1.0 transitional.

I also went to the forum at the SEOMENU site, and found others experiencing the same problem with slow load time.

Until today, I was thinking that the slow load time is because my containers still reference the old Solpart Menu, (and I am not sure how remedy this yet).  Someone told me to change the SolpartActions in the container to "DropDownActions."  I watched the video series on building CSS containers, but still confusted.  My containers don't seem to have an XML file, just an .ascx , .css files, and images folder.

I have to say that I have learned much from the dnncreative website.  If it weren't for good old Lee and his excellent videos, I would not have a clue out there.

Any help with this menu issue would be much appreciated.  I tried to get ahold of DNNSEO some time back, but was unable to do so.  Not real impressed with that company.

This is not an answer to your question, but Snapsis' Nav Menu is one that I recommend. It's basically a CSS menu. And ... I believe that there is still a discount offer in that section of our forums here.

Hello,

I haven't used the DNNSEO menu so can't provide any advice on that. - Like Joe says I recommend either HouseMenu or Snapsis menu.

If you opted for that menu for SEO reasons, you will find the CSS menus all perform well in terms of SEO as they produce an unordered list of links.

Re: DropDownActions, have you had a look at:
How to remove the Solpart menu from a container

It doesn't matter that your containers are ascx, you can still follow the tutorial as a html and xml file and then see the code that DNN produces when it converts them into ascx files.
