Hello guys, I just subscribed DNNCreative last week. And downloaded most of tutorials and watched them, i have some questions, i wish you could help me to fix my critical problems.
First of all, i couldn't use all skins that uses HouseOfNuke Navigation Menu.
Let me describe problem with an image.
MY DNN Version: 4.5.5 Skins that has problem: All skins that uses Custom Navigation menu such as Snapsis or HouseOfNuke navigation menus.
Locale used on portal: Turkish Locale

The problem is I am not able to insert selected modules to any pane, because no panes available at Pane (Bölüm) section.
Also i don't have Content Pane, Top Pane etc in Page layout.
Panes are completely lost.
I'm uploading Turkish Language Pack, i would like to get this fixed, because i cannot use custom skins because of this critical error.
I appreciate your help.

First of all, please verify that you have installed the House of Nuke menu and any other menus that you want to use. I believe that you must install the menus prior to installing the skins. When you do an install, please make sure that no errors are reported.
Second, did you install the skins using the host or the administrator tab? Also, did you check to see if there were any errors?
Third, do the standard DotNetNuke modules work? |

Hi Joe, thanks for quick reply, Yes, i always install NavigationMenus prior to installing skin packages. There were no errors reported at Admin > Event Viewer or any other page. I installed both navigation menus and skin packages via Host menu, there were no errors reported.
Yes Standart modules and Standart Navigation Menu of DNN work correctly with Turkish Locale,
If you want you can simulate problem, i already included necessary Turkish Locale in my first post.
Thanks in advance. |

Yes it does work correctly with default En-US Locale, problem happens with Turkish Locale Problematic navigation menus are HouseMenu and Snapsis CSS Navigation Menu, maybe other third party navigation menus are affected too, but i couldn't test them, because i only have subscriptions to here and Skincovered.
Please help this poor guy
Thanks. |

Change to the en-US locale, it'll give people a better isolation point in trying to debug your issue.
I've ran into issues in other applications where every call to a resource file item had to be wrapped in an UrlEncode call due to special language characters. |

I would also suggest that you ask John Mitchell at Snapsis.com for help with his menu.
Several messages posted here during the last two weeks have indicated some problems with localized text and menus in general. You should probably post to the DotNetNuke Forum, too. |

| Oh, I forgot to ask which version of DotNetNuke you are using. If you are using a 4.5.x version, you might want to experiment and set up a 4.4.1 version in a test environment, install a skin that's causing problems, and see if the problems also exist in the older version. You never know ... |

If I'm understanding this correctly, you don't have problems if you select English, but you have problems when you select Turkish. Is this correct.
Do you know if this is a problem with SolPartMenu, too. If this is a problem with all menus, we'll need to find out if this is a DNN issue or if it is a localization issue. Do you happen to know if the problem exists with all languages other than English, of if the problem exists only for Turkish? Or if some languages are ok and if other are not.
If this is correct, and John Mitchell confirms that this is a problem, I'm afraid that I'm not going to be much help. But, the more information that you can supply, this might help track down the problem.
I would also recommend that you file a bug report at DotNetNuke.com. |
