Really Good - Thanks - and it was very timely for me.

Comments:

The DNS stuff differs greatly from ISP to ISP. I had been unable to get a parent portal to work there before. Their basic setup for what they call a subdirectory is actually "domain forwarding". When I setup sample.agingsafely.com  and went to DNSstuff to look at the records they weren't there.

When I looked back at GD's domain display I saw that sample was pointing to a different IP than AgingSafely.com.   I was able to edit this A Record to point to my server rather than a seperate service that GD uses for redirection. All was good after about 20 minutes.

The comment in Lee's video about the directory required for child portal, saved me in two ways. First it turns out that my backup tool wasn't saving that directory. Second at GD woth DNN hosted at the root I would have to hand create these directories, since GD doesn't give ASPNET write privs on that directory.

Again - Great Job Lee
