enable ssl
and set the mode to basic
and gave the gmail username and password
and updated and clicked the test

Is there any possible to send the mail?

If i set the smtp server as localhost and skip other and test

I have set up DNN to use a gmail account as the SMTP server. If I remember, you must use xxxx@gmail.com for the user name, not xxxx.

Hi i figured out the error and the error was in the Server name . Initially i used it as smtp.gmail.com:465 and i changed it to smtp.googlemail.com and it worked fine.

I used the username only like xx@gmail.com and not as xx.

After changing the server name it worked fine.

You can also see the reference of it in the following site
https://support.dnnhost.eu/KB/a19/setting-up-dotnetnuke-for-googlemail-smtp.aspx

Thanks for the support
