Hi all,

A bit frustrated with House of Nuke and the skins... only because the skins look so good and I can't get them to work!  ;-)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but to use the skins in Issue 34...

1) Install the HouseMenu SkinObject 1.4.1 (beta), like you install a module

2) Upload the skin through the DNN portal like you normally would

3) Apply the skin to a page/section of your site for testing

I have done this, but just get the [HOUSE MENU] text in my test section, no actual portal navigation.

What am I doing wrong?

Sure, Lee, no problem.

First, I used the latest version of the House Menu, NOT the skin object. So, even though I "read" the skin documentation, I failed to notice which version of exactly what I was supposed to be installing.

Second, I had already uploaded the skins through the portal interface after recognizing my mistake. The skins do not "pick up" the skin object if you first upload skins and THEN upload the skin object.

So, simply put, order matters greatly.

First, install the skin object from House of Nuke, as you would a normal module.

THEN upload the skins that use the HoN skin object, and you should be fine.

Cheers!
