Here are some things to check:

In web.config, set

<form>s name=".DOTNETNUKE" protection="All" timeout="10080" slidingExpiration="true" cookieless="UseCookies"

You can use another number for the timeout. It is in seconds.

In Host Settings, under Performance Settings, set Page State Persistence to Page.

Set Authenticate Cacheability to public.

If you have access to IIS settings then you should set Content Expiration for your site which does the same thing for static files like images, js, & css.
