Hello,

I would like to migrate my actual website to the new DNN one... But before doing so, I would like to be sure that I will choose the correct module... I have a lot of data to migrate, and I do not want to make a mistake with the wrong module, and having to retype everything later with another module!!!...

Any advice is welcomed. I have a collection of links here : http://declic.video.free.fr/liens.htm

How would you handle this ??? Using the LINKS module is not so good, because I can organise it in category...
Is there any other module which would fit better ? Even a commercial module, I am ready to invest money if it's worth.

Hello,

The repository module maybe suitable for this, it is a free core module, otherwise I would have a look around snowcovered.

Thanks,

Check out LinkNex - www.OnyakTech.com

Some details on LinkNex:

Key Features:

  • Link Tracking: Hits in and out of your site are now tracked

  • Hit Ranking: The Grid View now displays each links hits in and out.

  • Higher Trafficking Sites Get Priority Listing: All views are now sorted by total hits to your site in descending order.  The more people that hit your site, the higher the link's visibility in your list.

  • Link Approval: Anyone can submit links to your site, but the link must be approved by you first before it will show up on the list.

  • New Link Notification: Once a visitor submits a link, you will be notified via email.

  • Approved Link Notification: Once you approve a link, your visitor will be notified via email.

  • Custom Approved Message: Allows you to add a custom message to the approved email notification

  • Link Editor: Allows you to review all of the approved links in your system and remove them at will.

  • Enable/Disable Notifications: Disable or enable email notifications for this module with the click of check-box

  • Approval by Role: Allows new link notifications to be sent to everyone in the specified role.

  • Link-Back URL: A field is available on the “Add Link” page to allow your visitor to specify the URL where they have linked back to your site.  The link-back URL is listed in the Approval list so that you can review their link before approving.

  • Three different Link views

  • Summary: Displays just the links

  • Detailed (Banner): Displays the banners with hyperlinks

  • Data Grid: Displays title, description and hyperlink

  • Custom “Add Listing” Message: When a visitor is submitting a link, this custom message can be used for any instructions or limitations you require.

  • Rich Text Editors to make editing your “Add Listing” message easy

  • Limit Links displayed by Category: With this setting, you can have multiple instances of this module running on your site all set to show specific categories of links.

  •  Category Control: Add and remove categories.

  • Strong Validation for Strong Data Integrity: This module uses strong validation to prevent deleting categories that are currently in use (if you do try, it will tell you how many links are using that category), valid hyperlinks, valid email addresses, etc.

Hello,

It looks great, but when I asked for a demo site last time, I did not receive any answer (or maybe you never receive my email ??).
I would like to see how it looks like before buying (also the admin interface), as done with many modules in snowcovered or other site.

I sincerely think that OnyakTech is missing this feature/behavior, i.e. possibility to see what you purchase (at least screen capture).

DV FX
PS: I think that I would have already buyed some products (Sigma pro Draconis + LinkNex if demo was available and/or screen capture). I am not talking of the demo website you put, because it does not really give us the liking to have such module. I am maybe a little hard, but that's sincere.

You can download an evaluation version of LinkNex as well as many other modules (including the user manuals) from the Free Downloads page (in the Members tab) on www.OnyakTech.com.

"GLinks" is a nice one, reasonably priced. It allows you to put an icon next to each link etc.,
