Hello,

I notice the html/text module can insert templates. Can these be customized or add new ones? Also could you restrict which templease are available to the user?

You can create page and portal templates in DotNetNuke.  See:

How to create Page Templates in DotNetNuke
DotNetNuke Portal Templates and the Site Wizard
Configuring DotNetNuke before installation
(How to create a portal site template for the wizard)

The Text/HTML module doesn't use templates.  However, you can export a module's contents and import it into another Text/HTML module.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply. Maybe I was unclear.

The third icon in the fckeditor has a button for inserting templates into the HTML/Text module

It is these templates I want to modify or limit

Regards - Gerry

The templates feature can be very handy and useful. I switched to Telerik's RADEditor mainly for it's very nice templates manager. It is much nicer than FCK's where FCK just has a single list that is the same on all pages in your portal. RAD has a templates manager much like the image manager in FCK where you can place templates in folders and control access to different types of templates.
