I tried out your article on HTTP compression following all the instructions but alas it did not work. So I decided to roll back the changes I made. I deleted the code in the revised web.config file and pasted in the code from the original web.config file that I backed up.

Ever since then my DNN site has returned to normal, and seems to work fine except that the icons for things are completely misplaced when using the UI. The icons for various functions seem to be swapped around so when you want to add a module using the interface at the top of the page, the blue 'plus' is replaced with the wizards hat which is for the wizard!

Any ideas?

Tim.

Hi Tim,

That sounds very strange, i have not heard of that before. All I can suggest is that you triple check your web.config file with the backup and with an original and see if you have missed anything in the cut and paste.

Which version of DNN are you running? I would be interested to test the HTTP compression to see why it was not working.

Thanks,
Lee Sykes
