    I've been using godaddy.com Virtual Private Server for a DNN website, which is costing me a little over $20/mo. I'm having some frustrations and I am considering going somewhere else.

    I know there are significantly cheaper DNN specific hosting options out there which are not VPSs, which, as far as I know, basically means you cannot RDP into the server. I'm wondering if there are any negative repercussions of going this route, in particular from a DNN configuration point of view. I'm assuming you manage the files through ftp or https or something similar...

    Yes, RDP is nice!

    However, you can do quite a bit if you can use FTP and SQL Server Management Studio in conjunction with good tech support.
