I am trying to update my DNN with current desktop modules. In my version of DNN 5.4.4 (no, I can not upgrade at this time), I do not see a method to upgrade the module. If I go to Modules definitions, I only see an option to Uninstall the package that includes a checkbox labeled Delete Files. When I uninstall the package and do not check the Delete files checkbox, it still deletes the tables all together. It does not keep the information stored in the tables. I've looked on this site for tutorials or documentation on how to do this properly without losing the data but have been unsuccessful. Can you please advise me how to upgrade desktop modules without losing the data they contain or point me to a tutorial/document that will help? Thanks!

If you need to install an upgrade to a module, you just install it "normally." The upgrade process will install new files, modify any tables and SQL as needed, and data will be preserved. Don't uninstall, just install on top of what already is there.
