I have accidently re-initilaised a template and it has removed all my settings and content from the module. Is there a way I can restore this?

Is it possible that you inadvertently clicked the "Design Mode" link in the control panel? Try clicking it again to get out of design mode. Then, you'll see your module's content again.

Could you explain what you meant by "initializing a module" so that I can understand what you did?

Sorry bad terminology! I was trying to copy a page to a newly created page and accidently initilaised the template within the module and it took all the module back to default. I hope this makes sense. I am still not sure how I make the module work on other pages yet but I am looking into it.

It's not there now if you restored from a backup, but your missing module most likely was in the Recycle Bin.
