I am setting up a forum (Active Forum 5.2.2.0) for the membership of an association. There will thus be a limited number of users and topics, however, we would like to monitor (not moderate) who is posting a new topic or replying. Is there a way to receive an automatic notification if a user posts something on the forum?
Can a certain e-mail be set to receive these notification e-mails? Or all those who have an administrator role for the website will receive the notification? Currently no administrator receives a notification when a member posts on the forum..

Hi Sylvie,
The way we do it here on DNNCreative is by using the Active Forum What's new module. We add it to a page, then at the bottom it show RSS feed. We grab the feed and use a feed reader to send us a daily notification of new posts. With that we are always aware of whats going on a daily basis.
We use https://blogtrottr.com to send us the feed but you can use any feed reader like feedly
Sincerely,
Andy

Thank you Andy for the reply, it's very useful.
I would have another question regarding the Forum module. It only allows to add picture files as attachments to the posts. Is this normal? Isn't there a way to attach pdf or doc files?
Many thanks,
Sylvie

I haven't tried that Sylvie, but you should check the forum permissions for "Attach" under Security on the forum setting.
