I am running DotNetNuke Community Edition 05.02.02
On this page.  http://mailhandling.com.dnnmax.com/...ories.aspx inside of an HTML module I have 6 icon images.  Each one is linked to a different swf file (All 6 swf files are located in the root folder).

I set the linked files to open in a popup window (722x528)
Each time I click on one of the icons to view the pop-up the new window opens but the swf file is downloaded to my desktop instead of being viewed within the HTML page. This is not the desired effect.  Please advise.

Thanks, Marion

Hello,

You can't link direct to the swf file to play it you need to add the swf file to a page with some code around it so that it will play, or add a flash player module to another page + set it up to play the swf file, you can then link your icons to the new pages you have created in DNN.

For the new pages which will receive the flash content....... can I create them without any skin at all........ totally blank and the exact size of the flash movie? (722x528)

DigFlash (free) from dignuke.com does a good job of playing flash files in DotNetNuke.

I have used LiveContent (moderate cost) from Mandeeps to pop up modules inside of a DotNetNuke site.  There are others that you can find by Googling.

I haven't used them together but it would be an interesting test.

There is an evaluation version of LiveContent.
