I'm following the tutorials for adding text and CSS styling to images and captions with the FCK Editor. The skin I'm using (BIND Nifos skin) has compressed skin.css files so I don't want to mess around with the skin files. The user guide that comes with the skin suggests adding two files to the root of the portal to customize the FCK Editor, fckeditor.xml and fckeditor.css, and provides the files in a resource file that comes with the skin. I've deleted all the content on both files and added them to the portal root. I've cut and pasted the image float right and left xml and css content from the files provided with your tutorial in these two custom files just to see if I can make everything work before I add my own custom styling. I followed the procedure in the custom editor options per the tutorial and have been successful in getting the image styles from the tutorial to show up in the FCK Editor style drop down list. However, the styles are not applied to the image and caption. The source code with the div tags appears to be correct (exactly like in the tutorial). I've done all the cache clearing, restarting and refreshing suggested in the tutorial. So, I'm missing something here, just not sure what. I can always go back to inserting images with captions in tables, but would really like to figure this out. Any help would be appreciated. Best, Tom

if I understand this correctly, it sounds as though you have setup the FCK editor styling, but you have not added the CSS classes for the styling into your skin.

Usually you would add this into the skin.CSS file, however you can also add code if you do not wish to edit the skin.css file into the portal.css file which you can find in the root of your portal folder. - You can also add this code using admin menu/site settings.

Hope this helps,
