Hey guys ... another vertical collapsible menu question that i've seen on here.
Basically i'm looking for a collapsible menu similar to the way the housemenu works, however it open and closes to display the sub menus underneath when the parent items are clicked .... i've seen on this forum that no one has really found anything suitable (thats open source.

The [treeview] that ships with dnn functionally more/less does the required actions, however, for the life of me, i cant figure out how to skin it and make it look .... well, less windows ui nastyish. And more like an elegant menu.

Has anyone ever successfully skinned this menu, and if so, can point me in the right direction on how I too can harness the force of and tame this beast.

thanks

Hello joshua

Try the skinning toolkit (issue 10 ) on this site.

Hi Joshua,

As Lynn says, the only info around for styling the treemenu is on www.skinningtoolkit.com

If you come across any further info then let us know.

You can create something similar to this using the HouseMenu - If you look at the actual menu in use on Skinning Toolkit you will see that it expands and contracts depending on which menu items you click on.

This is set up using the same technique as outlined in this tutorial:
How to create Horizontal CSS menus in DotNetNuke using the HouseMenu

Hope this gives you a starting point, thanks,
