Hi all,
          I applied the forum module as admin,now simply I want to allow a registered user to start a new thread or post a reply to the topics in forum with not to delete any topics.

I give Edit permission via module setting to Registered user and also to authorize edit roles to Registerd user via 'My Settings' > 'Manage Forums' > Expand the topics and click on Penci icon >Expand Genera Settings.

But the main problem is that when I logged in as registered user,this user is able to edit all the pages and modules on the site.This should not be the functionality.

You should not give edit permissions to the module to non-administrative users.

To configure a forum, you need to click the Admin link when logged in as an administrator.
Click Manage Forums and Groups, then locate the forum and click it's edit icon. Open up general settings to configure the forum's permissions.

Will it works for a normal registered user and stops this user to edit any other modules or pages ( which is my main concern ).
