Hi All,

I want to put a shortcut link on the intranet, pointing to a MS Access DB (.mdb) on our file server, so users can use the MS Access database. I used Links Module, but it points to "http://intranet/file server/databases/db1.mdb"; I dont have such path on my intranet. My shortcut path is "\\file server\databases\db1.mdb"

Please guide me on setting up this link.

Thank you.

When creating a link, select link type: URL (an external resource)

in the URL specify the full address (including disk letter)  to the file

But the Link is on as shared location, its a network share, so i cannot add the drive letter.
I tried with IFrame, which brings a html pages with a hyper link to network shared location, but this give option to save the mdb file; which we dont want users to save the mdb on their workstations.

Also if I can create a shortcut for mdb, i.e " .lnk" file and up load it to the server, will it help me out.
